Positions vacant at the Duke

With the re-launch of a brand new, state of the art kitchen and newly built/designed restaurant at the Duke of Cumberland, there is a great opportunity for new members to join our small, but enthusiastic Team. Set in a wonderfully peaceful location in West Sussex with a large dining clientele.  We are currently looking for the following:

Sous-Chef – to work within a friendly brigade of four, led by UK 2010 Pub Chef of the Year, Simon Goodman. Cooking must be of high quality and to AA One Rosette standard. This is a full-time position and an interest and skill in pastry would be very useful. We can offer a competitive salary to the successful candidate. Kitchen Aid/Assistant - working with the brigade at the Duke of Cumberland as an aid to the chefs in the kitchen and kitchen equipment cleaning duties. You must be tidy in your manner and able to maintain the highest hygiene standards. This is a full-time position with good remuneration to the right person. Simon Goodman, head chef at the Duke of Cumberland, was named UK Pub Chef of the Year 2010 at the Pub Food Awards ceremony held in London on 11th April. Goodman had the honour of having a three-course menu, devised by himself, served to the 350 guests attending the event.
